The standard gasket for RF flanges

The RAIFLEX® RS style features a spiral and a filler material, known as the sealing element. It also has an outer carbon steel centering ring that is used for calibrated compression. Ideal for use on raised face, flat face, or circular flange connections.


The RAIFLEX® RS style has a nominal thickness of 0.175” for an optimum compression of 0.130”.


The outer ring facilitates gasket centering, provides additional radial strength, helps prevent misalignment, and serves as a reference point for determining the amount of compression to use during stud installation.

***NOTE: FOR GASKETS LARGER THAN 24", IT IS RECOMMENDED TO USE AN INNER RING OR THE RSI STYLE.

AS A STANDARD, PTFE GASKETS MUST HAVE AN INNER REINFORCEMENT RING; USE THE RSI STYLE.

The maximum safety gasket.

The RAIFLEX® RSI style features a spiral and a filler material, known as the sealing element. It also has an outer carbon steel centering ring that is used for calibrated compression, for use on raised face, flat face, or circular flange connections.

The RAIFLEX® RSI style has a nominal thickness of 0.175” for an optimum compression of 0.130”.

It has a 0.125” inner ring made of the same material as the spiral to prevent inward winding of the spiral during installation.

The outer ring facilitates gasket centering, provides additional radial strength, helps prevent misalignment, and serves as a reference point for determining the amount of compression to use during stud installation.
